Why won't Windows Movie Maker play videos from an iPod?

I have filmed videos on my ipod touch and trying to get them to play
on windows movie maker. When I press add photos or videos I can chose
a video but when I open it there is a yellow triangle with an ! in it.
How do I get the videos to play?
