Is "Date Rape" by Sublime supposed to sound a little like "Don't Wanna Know If You Are Lonely" by Husker Du?

I was listening to "Date Rape" and a little towards the end of the
song, Bradley is humming a tune I've heard before and I couldn't think
of what it was. Then once while I was listening to "Don't Wanna Know
If You Are Lonely" it hit me in the hit that his humming sounded a lot
like the guitar riff.

Nothing big. I'm curious if anyone else has noticed this.
